Since our first performance just over 25 years ago, we’ve travelled across South Africa with a singular purpose: To deliver world-class, emotionally rich theatre experiences that don’t just entertain children but awaken something in them.

Why We Exist

SAECT exists because too much of childhood is being diluted; into screen time, tests and noise.

We exist because empathy is vanishing, creativity is being outsourced and the fire of self-expression is being extinguished. We know children deserve more, more truth, more emotion and more humanity.

To create an enhance physical and social environment that: combines interactive storytelling and theatre arts with best practices in early childhood.
